What a fantastic location for a spot of radio operating. Views of Newhaven Port from a historic Fort. The carpark was quiet all afternoon with only half a dozen visitors coming and going.
I had two lads questioning my set up and took an interest in the mighty 12m mast.

Today was the first time in POTA history this site was activated, the required number of contacts to successfully activate any POTA is 10. That was smashed with 67 contacts, it got a little busy with callers at times but had a blast picking Callsigns out of the keen Hunters.

I was pleased to hear Tony (M7DVQ) chime in towards the end of my visit as I thought he would miss the boat this time around. I had to pack down earlier than planned due to the carpark being advertised to be locked at 19:30.

Thanks to all the contacts and Hunters.

Well done again Toby, you have certainly got to grips with the activations.
I will attempt to hunt you down wherever you are, and thanks for getting me into the hunting game. :)  8)

Hi Toby

Well done on being the first to activate this POTA site🥇🏆👍

Cherry Bakewell muffins to celebrate?

What next, a Bunker, a Mill, a Lighthouse or maybe a wild camp field day (if there is such a thing in the ham world)?
