Hello and welcome

Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net held on Thursday 09-05-2024

The net is held on channel 39 mid-block/FCC/CEPT using LSB and is scheduled to start about 20:00 PM or 8 o'clock 🕗 in the evening local UK time.

My location for the net was Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌳 Forest in the county of East Sussex and the set up was the Solarcon A-99 antenna & the Anytone AT-6666 (no amp no power mic) powered by a couple of old car batteries 🔋

The weather at Radio Corner was mild with the temperature around the 11 degrees C mark, a gentle breeze, high hazy cloud and a thin slither on the moon 🌒

Thank you all who called in and sorry if the "few" who willing choose to ignore the chairs requested to keep it short, decided to have long overs, which caused the premature end to the net because everybody drifted off to something less boring instead!

Until the next one

Here is slightly later than normal report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net.

The net was held on July the 4th 2024, which was American Independence Day, and Polling day here in the UK, and is scheduled to start at about 20:00 Hrs or 🕗 8 o'clock local UK time

My location for the night was Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌲 Forest in the county of East Sussex where the weather was warm, cloudy with a breeze.

The net was held on channel 39 LSB on the mid-block or 27.395 MHz and my working condition were the Anytone AT-6666 (no amp, no power mic) and a Solarcon A-99 on a pole and drive on mast configuration.

Before the list, the band conditions were crazy, we heard Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and maybe Russia, and 1 or more of the ex Soviet Union countries all having local QSO's, nobody wanted any DX contact except the guy in Portugal who said "I no spek Enlish"

Here is my list of stations that checked in. All stations are 26 division unless otherwise stated.
