No idea of version Ray, although PCB1 possibly indicates version one. ???
Has the wire been magically removed from the radio, still connected on the other end or are both ends disconnected?

I have tried to download info, diag etc., but all I managed was a virus. :'(

Good luck. :)

I've no idea what version it is, some say it's a V3 or newer because it has CTCSS tone board, but I know you can retro fit it on V1 radios do that doesn't help.

The wire had broken at the solder point on the speaker. Which got me thinking that I might upgrade to spade connectors on the speaker and lengthen the wires.

Thank you for looking and hope the virus hasn't messed things up for you.
Most of the info out there, for the 6666, is now for the newer models.

Tony

Ah, I thought as you were after the version that both ends had come adrift.

As for the virus, no major problem as it's only affecting Firefox so I just use any of the other four browsers I have installed. :D

Hello and welcome

Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net held on the evening of Thursday the 13th of February 2025

The net can be found on FCC channel 39 (27.395 MHz) using LSB and starts anytime from 20:00 🕗 to 20:30 🕣 hours depending on when the chair arrives from work.

When I parked up at Radio Corner, the weather was cold and cloudy with a dampness in the air.
After a chat with a licenced operator, I set up the Solarcon A-99 and the fixed Anytone AT-6666 and prepared to jump on to the net.

Before we dive into the log, a quick thank you to Jay FB 249 and Rob LT 05 who started the net off 👍

Now on with the check in's and who heard and or worked who.

Welcome to my report for the Southern Area and South Coast UK Net held on Thursday night 20-02-2025

My location for the night was a different area of Ashdown 🌴 Forest, or a back up location if I'm not able to use Radio Corner, in the county of East Sussex.

My operating conditions were the Anytone AT-6666 (no amp, no power mic) and a Solarcon A-99 missing the yellow tip that covers the top section of the antenna.

The weather on the night was wet, windy and foggy. I got wet setting up and wet breaking down.

The net is held on FCC channel 39 (27.395 MHz) using LSB and starts at 20:30 🕣 and finishes anytime after 23:00 🕚

Here is my list of of check in's and who heard and or worked who.

With the yellow cap missing from the top of the Solarcon, I watched the SWR rise as the night went on due to the rain running in the top.

My set up for the night was a Anytone AT-6666 (no amp no power mic) powered by a car battery 🔋, pushing about 30 watts "when I whistle" and a Solarcon A-99 antenna up on a pole.

My location was a busy Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌲 Forest which I shared with a car camper and a amateur astronomer taking advantage of the clear moon free night.

The net can be found on mid-block channel 39 (27.395 MHz) and uses the Lower Side Band mode and it starts at 20:30 🕣 and goes on until 23:00 🕚 or beyond.

It was a difficult night with the amount of noise being heard by both the hill toppers and homebased stations and the keyer at the beginning of the net.
Even with all the problems on the night, thank you all who called in and supported the net.
Sorry if you called and wasn't heard due to the keyer and the noisy band, please give it ago another Thursday night.

That brings this report to an end, thank you for reading this far down and if I have left you off the log or you spot a mistake, let me know so I can correct it.

Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net held on Thursday night 13/03/2025

The net is held on FCC channel 39 (27.395 MHz) and is on the LSB mode. It is scheduled to start at 20:30 🕣 and finishes anytime after 23:00 🕚 local UK time.

My location for the net was Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌴 Forest (home of Winnie the Pooh) in the county of East Sussex. This is about 33 miles (52 km) south of the Capital London and the nearest town would be Crowborough (once home to Sir Arthur Conon Doyle the creator of Sherlock Holmes)

The set up was an old version of the Anytone AT-6666 powered by a car battery 🔋 and a Solarcon A-99 antenna up on a pole.

The weather on the night was cold and cloudy with the odd break in the cloud to show the full moon. As the night progressed the temperature dropped to -3 degrees C and freezing fog rolled in.

This caused some fun when it was time to pack down as the poles were covered in ice and had frozen together and the drive on plate was frozen to the ground.

Hello all

Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net, held on Thursday 20th of March 2025

My location for the night was Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌲 Forest in the county of East Sussex. This is about 33 miles south of the capital London.

My set up was a Anytone AT-6666, powered by a car battery 🔋, pushing about 30 watts out via a Solarcon A-99 antenna. No power mics or amps used, I'm just a basic station in the forest.

The weather was warm with a thin layer of clouds that did allow the brighter stars to shine through.

The net can be found on FCC channel 39 or if you are using a HF radio 27.395 MHz and is on the mode of LSB. It is scheduled to start at 20:30 Hrs 🕣 and goes on to 23:00 Hrs 🕚 or beyond depending on conditions or who is left on.

The band conditions at the beginning of the net were difficult, for half the night we had 2 & 9 division blasting in, along with the normal crackle, roger beeps, strange tones, whistles and bleed over form other modes and badly tweaked radio's and for the other half it was quiet.

Now on with my list of check in's and who heard and worked all

Hello and welcome to a net of 2 halves.

Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net held on Thursday 17th of April.

The 1st half of the night was just check in's and getting in the log. This was caused by the 'wall to and tree top tall' stations booming in from across the pond.
The 2nd half was the normal pass arounds.

My working conditions for the night was the old AT-6666 (no amp no power mic), powered by a car battery 🔋 and a Solarcon A-99 antenna up on a pole.

The weather was cool & clear and from my location I got to see a hazy sunset

My location was Radio Corner, Ashdown 🌳 Forest in the county of East Sussex which is about 30 miles south of the centre of London.

The net is scheduled to start at 20:30 🕣 and finishes anytime after 23:00 🕚 UK time, and can be found on FCC channel 39, or 27.395 MHz, on Lower Side Band (LSB)
