Here is my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net, held on Thursday 25th of July 2024.

The net starts at about 20:00 Hrs or 8 o'clock 🕗 UK local, finishes anytime after 23:00 or 11 o'clock 🕚 and can be located on channel 39 mid-block, 27.396 MHz or 39 of the FFC CB band using the mode of LSB.

My location for the night was Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest 🌲 in the county of East Sussex and the set up was a Anytone AT-6666 (no power mic no amp) and a Solarcon A-99 antenna.

The weather for setting up and most of the net was fog and drizzle. By the end of the night the fog had cleared and the 3/4 moon 🌖 and stars became visible.

The band conditions were crazy, Canada, America, France, Spain, Brazil, Italy and a Eastern European or 2, all heard, in amongst the roger beeps, diddle de doo's and squiggly noise.

Now on with my list of 'pop ins', check in's and stations heard and or worked buy the net.
All stations are 26 division unless otherwise stated.

Hello

Here is my report for the net held on Thursday night 01-08-2024

The net is held on channel 39 (27.395 MHz) on the FCC, CEPT, EU band or mid-block using the mode of Lower Side Band and is scheduled to start at 20:00 Hrs 🕗 local UK time.

My location was Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest 🌳 in the county of East Sussex and equipment used the Anytone AT-6666 (no amp no power mic), a couple of car batteries 🔋 and a Solarcon A-99 antenna.

After the thunder and lightning, heavy rain, strong winds, hail, eerie yellow sky and Radio Corner being flooded for a short period after the storm, I did get set up and start the net an hour late at 21:00.

Here is my list of stations that checked in on the net, all stations are 26 division unless otherwise stated.

The net is scheduled to start at 8 o'clock, 22:00 Hrs 🕗 UK local time and finishes anytime after 11 o'clock, 23:00 Hrs 🕚.

With band conditions being noisy, full of skip, snap, crackle, pop & beeps and what sounded like someone blowing across the mic
Now on with list of who checked in and was heard and or worked by the net.

Also heard was TC 101--Al, who I heard calling for the net or putting out a DX call, not sure which one due to the noise.

Thank you all who checked in, extra thanks to both Barry 1664 & Terry 500 from Canada, for answering the call to join the net and taking the stations they could hear.

That brings this report to an end.
Thank you for reading and if you see a mistake, let me know and I will correct it.

Thank you all who called in, the band conditions were full of the Canada and America, later in the evening I did her Melbourne Australia DXing to the West coast of America on channel 38 LSB.

That brings this report to an end, thank you for reading and if you spot a mistake or worse I have left you off the list, let me know and I can correct it.
