Hello Everyone.

I had a go and getting SSTV pic from the ISS this morning 5.55am  :o  . I was using a V2000 on roof at my Qth and recorded audio from my home brew 446Mhz flat side in the garden . It did not go totally to plan as the singal was sent in chunks etc. Never mind though i will try again today on another pass around 7.26.
So here is the pic i got so far .

Well done John, pretty good for a first attempt especially with your location & quickly assembled setup for the frequency.
A much better effort than me as I have only just woken up, late as always! ???  ::)

ps. Can't chat on PMR as planned, I only have one UHF antenna today up but will try on tomorrow's pass.

I heard "late on parade" and was about to explain, when I realised it wasn't for me LOL😆

Well done John for getting what you did with the set up

Tony

Did you get anything at 7:26 John?
I guess as you haven't put a pic up it was a 'no go', or did you drop off? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :P

Hi Tony

It was no go with a rubbish signal  :'(  :'(  :'(

Tony

Oh dear, back to the drawing board then. :'(

Did you read:
QuoteIn the UK we use narrow 2.5 kHz deviation FM but the ISS transmits using the wider 5 kHz deviation used in much of the world. Most rigs can be switched been wide and narrow deviation filters so select the wider deviation. Hand-held rigs all seem to have a single wide filter fitted as standard.

I was 'late on parade' again for the 5.00am pass but got a weaker one at 6.43am.
I feel sure that in the future if I wake up in time a much better image will come my way. ;D
