The Thursday Night Net (TNN) was founded by Craig (2E0FQH) in  2016.  It runs for an  hour, starting at 20:00 GMT.  The net is directed and open to all amateurs and is often seeded by the net controller with a pre-determined topic.  Echolink is welcome.  Audio recordings are available over the internet with a live video feed for those not yet qualified.  The main controller is Bill (2E0WGK), plus Misty the cat on facebook.

Held on GB3IW repeater (433.225MHz output, 434.825MHz Input).

GB3IW Will be back very soon.

The repeater has now been taken over by Steve M0RQD and am now looking for the support and donations from its users in the same way that Paul G4IKI did to keep it running.

We hope to have the repeater back on the air within the next 2 weeks or so and have purchased all the equipment from Paul to get it back on the air as soon as we can. Once its back on the air we will obtain the DR2 repeater from Yaesu who have kindly offered to loan us the unit and then we will start the process of swapping it over and also look at adding C4FM to the repeater.

I have had offers of support and will be in touch with you all over the next couple of weeks to form a repeater group so that we can spread the responsibilities. There will be some members from the IOWRS and some that are not (why anyone wouldn't want to be I don't know!)

In the meantime, if you would like to make a donation please use the link below. All monies, great or small are all welcome.

Thanks

Steve M0RQD

Quote from the new keeper Steve:
QuoteNow I'm back from my holidays, we can get on and get GB3IW back on the air. Hopefully this weekend but watch this space.

GB3IW is now back on the air, not as strong a signal as it used to be into Brighton but I understand work is continuing to improve this! :)

Back OFF AIR for a while, the repeater keeper states:
QuoteHi folks, just to advise that GB3IW is now of air until it is moved to its new location in the very near future 👍👍
Until then both the Tuesday Bramble net and world famous Thursday night net will be via echolink only with the normal concurrent zoom in progress..
Looking forward hearing everyone on the nets!
